Although considerable effort has been placed upon ergonomics and the Human-Computer Interface (HCI), ADPI takes it to the extreme. The Human-Machine Environment (HME) represents over three years of research into the effects of the computer experience upon the end-user. The HME deals with both the physical actions and reactions of the end-user, and the psychological responses which occur as a result. Unlike traditional ergonomics, we examine the minute details in how the experience affects users of all ages. User comfort and enjoyment is taken to a new level as software applications and interfaces must now be included in the overall experience.
